Berlin Future Hub

Ecosystem Activation

2023 — 2024

Berlin has long had a vibrant startup scene but is now redefining itself as the leading impact capital. With the right mix of talent, funding, passion, and a spirit of defiance, Berlin is setting the stage for change.

The Berlin Future Hub positions Berlin as a global leader in innovation, impact, and climate initiatives. We want to foster strategic networking, facilitate new exchange formats, and create valuable knowledge products.

This project is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy, and Public Enterprises.

A platform for visual impact stories and ecosystem deep-dives

Get-togethers that bring Berlin’s impact community in the same room.

Context

Berlin is evolving from a startup hub into a place where businesses aim to benefit society and the environment. Attracting creative minds from around the globe, the city is focusing on meaningful impact. The many initiatives, startups, and VCs committed to doing good, position Berlin as a potential hub for the impact community. At the same time, this ecosystem is not as connected and symbiotic as it could be.

Our Role

We want to bring all the ecosystem actors in the same room, curate and highlight their stories, and sow the ground for transformative coalitions—projects where governments, investors, startups, academia, industries, and the civic society come together to create implementable solutions. We do through engaging meetups and a web platform for visual storytelling, where we illustrate the impact scene in a fun new way.

Objectives

Ultimately, the Berlin Future Hub connects the impact and climate tech scene in Berlin while projecting in outward. The project builds up Berlin’s reputation as one of the key impact ecosystems globally. Our outbound activities include exchange formats like salons, webinars or workshops in an international context—making sure the stories of our change-makers reach far and wide.
